Signal Operator

Hiring now

Signal Operator is a core operational seat at Earth Coast Productions. We're currently hiring for this role.

Earth Coast Productions is a Colorado-based live events and media production company with 15 years of track record. We work with mission-driven organizations, nonprofits, B-Corps, and forward-thinking corporate clients on everything from studio production to multi-day live events and conferences.

The Role

You'll be the operational hub of our internal platform, Signal. You'll manage client workflows, coordinate projects from intake through delivery, own client communication, and become fluent in how our systems actually work. You'll be on calls with clients and our team, handling real-time coordination for everything from small studio shoots to multi-day conferences. As we integrate more AI into our workflows, you'll help shape how those tools serve us.

This isn't a back-office role. You're visible to clients. You're the person who keeps things running smoothly while our production and creative teams focus on delivery.

What You'll Do

  • Manage client intake, project coordination, and communication through Signal
  • Own calendar and scheduling for shoots, calls, and events
  • Handle email triage and client follow-up with care and attention
  • Learn our tech stack and suggest improvements as you understand how we work
  • Collaborate with our team on process and workflow optimization
  • Stay curious about AI tools and new systems as we integrate them

What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years of administrative, operations, or production support experience (or equivalent demonstrated competence)
  • Strong written and verbal communication — you represent us to clients
  • Comfort with tools and systems; you're not intimidated by learning new platforms
  • Genuine curiosity about how things work, not just executing tasks
  • Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple timelines
  • Available for live calls during North American business hours (flexible timing within that window — open to expats and remote workers anywhere in a North/Central American time zone)
  • Reliability and follow-through — clients depend on you

Growth & Opportunity

This role has real trajectory. You're starting as Signal Operator, but as you deepen your understanding of how we work — our clients, our workflows, our systems — there's room to grow into operations leadership. We're building infrastructure and AI tooling that will shape how we scale, and the right person will grow alongside those systems.

There's also opportunity to get closer to our production work — sitting in on shoots, helping coordinate events, learning how the pieces fit together. This isn't required, but if you're curious about production and live events, there's a path into that.

We're looking for someone hungry to learn, willing to start at an accessible rate, and ready to build something meaningful over years, not months.

The Practical Stuff

  • 15–25 hours per week, remote
  • Starting rate: $10–$15/hour (based on experience; reviewed at 6 months)
  • Flexible schedule within core collaboration hours
  • Access to Signal and our internal tools — you'll help us improve them

Why Earth Coast

We're not a massive agency. We're a tight, skilled team that genuinely cares about our clients and the work. We're thoughtful about systems, we value craftsmanship, and we're actively exploring how production and technology intersect. If you want room to grow into something bigger, this might be it.

How to Apply

Please submit a 2–3 minute video introducing yourself. Tell us about your background, why this role appeals to you, and give us a sense of how you think about systems and workflow. We want to see who you are.
