Creative Video Editor and Content Manager

Location:
East Boulder location; Most work will be done at the Boulder studio on Arapahoe Ave. or on site at production events in the Boulder/Denver area. Must live in the area with working reliable transportation.

Job Summary:
In this role, you won’t simply be handed footage to create a video. Earth Coast expects more. As our Creative Video Editor and Content Manager, you will be integral in directing, brainstorming, writing, shooting, and implementing your vision into our projects. Your responsibility spans from assembling raw footage to crafting strategic and memorable content that advances our clients' brands. We are looking for a creative with a mind and eye for creative storytelling and the voice to express that vision.

Key Responsibilities

Crafting Stories, Driving Vision: 

Creating Impactful Media for a Regenerative Future

  • Video Creation & Editing: Craft stories through video, enhancing the content with sound, graphics, and special effects to resonate with our audience.
  • Strategic Content Management: Strategize and edit media for digital platforms, including YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and EarthCoast.com
  • Collaboration: Direct, lead and participate in brainstorming sessions and work closely with the marketing team and project managers to produce content for our clients and the company.
  • Ownership & Reporting: Oversee campaign reporting and project tracking. Be comfortable managing multiple projects and adapting to changing needs.
  • Research & Development: Stay updated with the latest in video content creation, discovering new strategies and ideas from editing techniques to popular content strategies. 
  • Production Participation: Actively partake in video shoots, often on Fridays and/or Saturdays, and occasionally between Sundays to Thursdays.

Qualifications & Skills:


- Proven video editing skills and content management expertise.
- Proficiency with video editing software, especially Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Ability to direct and lead shoots, familiar with shoot packages and equipment.
- Experience with uploading content to platforms like Facebook and YouTube.
- Organizational skills, especially in digital content management (file organization).
- Proficiency in communicating ideas through words, images, and videos.
- Passionate about technology, storytelling, and continuous learning.
- Flexibility to travel in the Denver/Front Range area.

- Articulate communicator, both written and verbal.

Preferred Experience:
Background in any creative field like writing, journalism, videography, media production.

Theatre direction, songwriting, or music production is a plus.

Technology Requirements:


- Fast personal computer (modern processor).
- Fast internet connection (min 10Mbps upload).
- Smartphone.
- Reliable vehicle.

Compensation and Schedule:


- Starting at $25 per hour with a review after the first 30 days.
- Compensation for drive time to production events.
- Part-time role, approx. 8-20 hours weekly.

- Potential for full-time (40hr position) upon review.
- Availability for video shoots, team meetings, and flexible studio time.
